About Dr. Robelen

Dr. Ariel Robelen attended Berry College in Rome, GA for undergraduate study and then the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine for her doctorate. She knew she wanted to be a vet when she realized she could mix science, people and love of animals into one career. Her mind was set on attending vet school since she was a teenager.

Since focusing her career on veterinary medicine, she has worked her way through the clinic from kennel tech to technician and reception. Since then, she has worked her way through the clinic from kennel tech to technician and reception. She knew she wanted to be a part of the Care First team because her morals and values align with those of Care First Animal Hospital. She loves how the doctors and support staff make patient care a priority.

Her veterinary areas of passion are:

  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Ophthalmology
  • Soft tissue surgery
  • Internal medicine
  • Rehabilitation

Outside of work, Dr. Robelen enjoys taking ballet classes, Orange Theory Fitness, participating in foot races, backpacking the North Carolina mountains and boating. She also has two dogs. A greyhound named Jay and a Rhodesian/beagle mix named Winnie. Jay is Certified through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs and has volunteered at the Shands Hospital in Florida and now volunteers at Cary Rehabilitation Center. Winnie loves to run. She has fearlessly followed her for 8 miles before asking to walk. Dr. Robelen is also engaged to Adam, who has been supporting her veterinary aspirations for many years.
