Known as the Veterinarian Encyclopedia of our veterinarian family, Dr. Michelle Ford effortlessly recalls volumes of information that usually has to be looked up. Immensely intelligent, we often wonder if she has a photographic memory or something.
Dr. Michelle attended M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I State University for both undergraduate school and veterinary school, and is passionate about Ophthalmology, Behavior Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery and Oncology. Although she probably already has the information memorized, some of her favorite references include:
- www.acvo.org (ophthalmology)
- www.vetcancersociety.org (oncology)
- www.avsabonline.org (veterinary behavioral medicine)
- www.avsts.org.uk (veterinary soft tissue surgery)
Additional links she finds helpful include:
Because one of her children is asthmatic, Dr. Michelle has no pets of her own, but enjoys pets vicariously through her beloved clients at Care First Animal Hospital at Glenwood. Her hobbies include reading, coloring, crafting and target shooting. Now we understand where her daughter gets her Hunger Games persona from! And something you may not expect – Dr. Michelle LOVES Southeastern Conference Football, so if you have some tickets that need placing, you know who to call.
Dr. Michelle decided to become a veterinarian when she was 15 years old and worked in the kennel of her local veterinary hospital. At the time, she was debating veterinary medicine or equestrian science. She loved the medicine so much, she decided that veterinary medicine would be so much more exciting and rewarding! We sure are glad she did!BACK TO TEAM ALL MEMBERS
