A proud graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Yau joined Care First Animal Hospital immediately after completing her studies in 2022. Her journey into veterinary medicine is rooted in a profound desire to contribute to the well-being of animals and improve their connections with their human companions.

Choosing the veterinary profession as her life's calling, Dr. Yau finds immense joy in the daily opportunity to help animals live healthier, happier lives. For her, the most rewarding aspect of her job is the connection she forms with pets and their owners. Witnessing the unique bond between animals and their caregivers serves as a poignant reminder of her own deep connection with her two cats, Nugget and Naomi. Dr. Yau values the relationships formed through multiple exam visits, extended hospital stays, and follow-up phone calls, cherishing the opportunity to be a part of each pet's journey to better health.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Yau embraces personal hobbies such as spending quality time with her feline companions, exploring hiking trails, and discovering new culinary delights in the Triangle area alongside her husband, Ty.
