Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Vani Jhaveri, a compassionate veterinarian from India, joined our team as an associate veterinarian in the spring of 2025. She graduated from Bombay Veterinary College in Mumbai, India, in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. After graduation, Dr. Vani spent a few years in India working at a small animal hospital, running her own private mobile practice, and working part-time at numerous animal rescue organizations. The experience she gained working with dogs, cats, equines, and even some farm critters during that time helped her grow in her skills and knowledge in the field. In 2019, she decided to pursue a new path by moving to the States, and after completing all her licensing exams, she moved to NC and began working at a small animal practice in Cary in 2023. Even today, when she visits home each year, she makes it a point to spend a few days giving back to all the rescues she once worked at, which helped her get to where she is today.
Her areas of interest include soft tissue surgery, wound management, and ophthalmology. She is a kind, patient, and passionate person who enjoys every opportunity she gets to care for her patients and clients. In her free time, she and her dog, Joy, enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and anything outdoors, while her cat, Mila, gives her company gardening, making crafts, and reading.
Dr. Vani has completed multiple certification programs and externships in topics like soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and equine medicine and field surgery, and she uses all the skills and knowledge she gained to help animals wherever she goes. She believes that the best care she can give her patients comes with an attitude of humility and a desire for continuous learning, and she strives to achieve both daily. Dr. Vani decided she wanted to be a vet when she learned the meaning of the word "veterinarian" at age five, and since then, she has remained committed. With her hard work, determination, and a very big move, she has made it all the way to Care First Animal Hospital, and we are so glad to have her and all that she brings as a part of our team.
