Raleigh, NC Pet Ultrasounds from Care First Animal Hospital

Ultrasounds are not only useful for humans, but when used as diagnostic medicine on pets, they have proven to be a very effective tool. Care First Animal Hospital is proud to offer ultrasounds in Raleigh, NC and locations throughout the Triangle. After all, it is our goal to provide our patients with the best veterinary services by using the latest technologies available for pets.

What is Ultrasonography for Pets?

Ultrasonography is a diagnostic tool that produces ultrasound waves to create an internal image of the patient’s body. Ultrasounds differ from X-rays in that they don’t use radiation and utilize high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of the inside of the patient.

A non-invasive, painless procedure, our Raleigh diagnostic ultrasounds generate images of abdominal organs, such as the liver, spleen, gallbladder and kidneys. Ultrasounds can also provide information about heart valves, blood flow through the heart and contractions of the heart muscle. This helps our trained, experienced veterinarians determine what is wrong with your pet and the best treatment plan for the illness.
