While the ability to safely conduct the annual 5K has changed, Racing for Rescues by Second Chance Pet Adoptions is still on! This year, the event will be FURtual, but will have the same mission: to raise $50,000 for stray animals and to give them a second chance. Care First Animal Hospital is proud to be one of the main sponsors of the event and we hope you are able to join and give back to pets in our community!
To participate in Racing For Rescues, we encourage you to participate in a personal 5k as well as virtual challenges. Every participant will receive an event t-shirt and has the chance to win a prize.
Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a non-profit animal rescue organization that rescues stray or abandoned cats and dogs in our community. The organization is the oldest no-kill shelter in Wake County and they promote responsible pet ownership and help reduce the amount of homeless animals.
